If you follow me on Instagram and Facebook, you know that Lucius, a candy lover, has prepared a little sweet surprise for you!
Yes, he uses you to feed him by revealing the recipe to prepare his favorite sweets. 🍬

So he asked me to make a video to share with you the tutorial for creating crochet candies!
Two-tone or one-tone, it’s up to you! These candies can also be used as decoration for Halloween which is coming soon.
As you can see, I made some in black and orange for Halloween and in pastel colors and with white for all occasions.

R : Row
sc : Single crochet
Inc : Increase
Dec : Decrease
SlSt : Slip stitch
CH : Chain
hdc : Half double crochet
** : Repeat around the row

For the center of the candy

R1: magic ring with 6 sc
R2: 1 Inc in each sc (12)
R3: *1 sc, 1 Inc* (18)
R4: sc in each sc (18)
R5: *2 sc, 1 Inc* (24)
R6: sc in each sc (24)
R7: *2 sc, 1 dec* (18)
R8: sc in each sc (18)
R9: *1 sc, 1 dec* (12)
R10: 6 decreases (6)
R11: cut the yarn and tuck it into the front loops of the remaining 6 stitches then tighten to close the hole.

▶ Cut and tuck the yarn.

For the edges of the candy (to be done twice)

▶ Make a slip knot then tuck the yarn with your hook into the 1st row of the ball, at the magic ring of 6 sc and make the following rows:

R1: sc in each sc + 1 SlSt in the 1st stitch of the row to close this row (6)
Do not cut the thread that protrudes where you put your hook, it will be used at the end.
R2: CH 2, then 2 hdc in each sc and finish with 1 SlSt to close the row (12)
R3: CH 2, then 1 hdc in each hdc + 1 SlSt to close the row (12)
R4: CH 2, then *1 hdc, 1 Inc* x6 + 1 SlSt to close (18)
R5: 1 SlSt in each hdc (18)

▶ Cut the yarn and tuck in the yarn to bring it up to the 1st starting row and make a double knot with the starting yarn and cut off what goes beyond.

There you go, you made a nice crochet candy to add sweetness to your day 😄🍬
