Hello rainbows 🌈
At the end of the year and with the approach of Christmas, I present to you Elerinna, the Christmas elf. A doll with her little shoes and her hat detachable as well as her magic stick in the shape of candy cane where resides her magnificent power releasing Joy for everyone. It contains a lot of details to crochet such as snowflakes on her hat and shoes or even her cape and collar, imitation fur embroidery on her hat and the sleeves of her dress.

“Elerinna is an elf living in a snowy kingdom all year round, invisible to human eyes. In her kingdom, the most important and most cultivated emotion is everyday joy by letting your inner child express itself in all moments of life.
On Christmas Eve, Elerinna and the other elves in her kingdom enter the world of humans. Thanks to their candy cane stick, they spread their precious joy in all homes to bring out this inner child that humans too often lock up in a corner of their being.
Give life to Elerinna to bring this Joy for Christmas but also for all the other days of the year!“

🎅 Some technical details about Elerinna🎅
A pretty Christmas elf perfect to be offered as a Christmas gift or for decoration.
Her long Christmas cap and small shoes adorned with snowflakes are detachable. His great candy cane can be as well. Personally, I glued it to her hand so that she wouldn’t lose it but feel free not to do it 😉
This pattern is perfect if you are an advanced beginner and want to get your first doll!

Sleeve for the arms
Take the arm upside down.
Make the hook in the row in white and pass the white yarn through a stitch.
With this loop, make a chain stitch.
Re-enter this same starting stitch and make 2 sc which counts as an increase.
Continue along the row making increases in each stitch. Finish the row with 1 slst with the first stitch
of the starting increase.
Continue with a 2nd row, only make sc and close with 1 slst.
Do the same for the 2nd arm.

It must only exceed the middle of the thread which passes through the middle of the body.

Insert your white yarn into the stitch that is at the level of the middle of the eye, to its left.

Insert your black thread into the stitch that is at the level of the middle of the eye, to its left, in the
same where the white thread
Go around the eye in a semi-circle and tuck your thread also in the stitch which is at the level of the

Taking 2 sc apart on the horizontal axis, bring out your black yarn at 1 sc from the level of the middle of the eye on the vertical axis
And tuck it into the stitch at the middle of the eye.
Taking 1 sc apart on the horizontal axis, bring out your black yarn in the same axis as the middle of the eye.
And tuck it into the stitch at the middle of the eye.
Do the same for the left eye.

🎄 The collar of the dress
(to be done with white yarn)
Position the doll upside down and start at the front. There are 7 sc on the front of the white row.
Position yourself in the middle stitch and enter your hook to bring in the white thread. Make 3 CH.
Continue all around the white row with 1 dc in the same stitch where we made the 3 ch then: 1 dc, 13 hdc, 1 dc, 2 dc in the same stitch.
Weave in ends.
There must be a gap between the two sides at the end to create a Peter Pan collar.
🎅 Hair
(to be done with gold yellow yarn)
The base of the hair
R1: magic ring with 8 sc
R2: only in the back loop, 1 Inc in each sc (16)
R3: only in the back loop, *1 sc, 1 Inc* x8 (24)
Strands
-> Starting from where we left off with the base, we will directly assemble the CH as follows:
On the first row (outer row)
Strand 1 to Strand 12: CH 40
CH 1, 1 SlSt from the 2nd stitch, 38 sc, 1 SlSt on the base by skipping 1 stitch.
On the second row (inner row)
-> We will then go into the inner row by taking only
the strand that protrudes for each of the stitches.
-> To position yourself in the inside row, tuck your
hook into a raised loop that is parallel to the last
strand made on the outside row and make 1 slst.
Then continue as follows:
Strand 13 to Strand 24: CH 40
CH 1, 1 SlSt from the 2nd stitch, 38 sc, 1 SlSt on the base by skipping 1 stitch.

Soles x4
With the red thread, make CH 3, 1 CH.
Turn to position yourself on the back of the chain where the 3rd loop of each stitch is located
From the 2nd stitch, make a first sc in this 3rd back loop.
Then continue with 2 sc still in this back loop.
-> Continue around the chain with 3 sc in the same stitch (the one on the side) then 2 sc. Then, perform the following rows:
R3: 1 Inc, 2 sc, 2 Inc, 2 sc, 1 Inc
R4: 1 sc, 1 Inc, 3 sc, 1 Inc, 1 sc, 1 Inc, 3 sc, 1 Inc
-> We have a total of 4 red soles.
-> We will assemble them 2 by 2.
Position 2 parts of sole back to back.
Make the hook in the 2 parts in edge stitches.
Pass the red thread through these stitches.
And, make 1 slst in every sc by joining the 2 parts for a total of 16 slsts.
Top of shoes x2
Following the previous row of slst, on one side of the sole, the slsts are in relief. Tuck the hook into
the back loop of a slst.
Bring in the green thread to create a loop.
Then make 1 ch, 1 sc in the same stitch as this ch and continue with sc the entire row for a total of 16
sc.
Finish the row on the starting sc with a slst.

The fur of the beanie
With the white fur thread, make a slip knot.
Tuck your hook into a stitch and bring out the loop of the knot in this stitch.
(We start in the white row at the border of the red)
Tuck the hook into the next stitch.
Bring out the fur thread in this stitch to have 2 loops on the hook
Then, pass this loop in the first as for a slst.
Repeat the same process for the entire row.
Then continue on the next 2 white rows. Cut and re-enter the thread.
🎅 Snowflakes x3
(to be done with white yarn)
Make a magic ring with the white yarn.
Then make 3 CH.
Make 1 slst on the ring of the magic ring.
Then, continue this process 3 more times to have 4 branches.
Tighten the magic ring.
Cut the thread and with your needle, enter the thread in the middle of the ring while passing it
over one of the hollows of the branches (where the slst is).
Repeat this process with the needle and the hollow of the branches 3 times to bring out the 4 branches. Do not hesitate to tighten the wire between the
branches.
Finally, bring the thread to the back and cut.

(to be done with green yarn)
R1: CH 18
R2: 2 CH, turn, 1 hdc in each stitch (18)
R3: 2 CH, turn, *2 hdc, 1 Inc* x6 (24)

-> Cut the thread while keeping a good length and make it go up along the cape to arrive at the 1st row on one of the ends which will help us with the

Cut a good length of thread.
R59: Pass the thread through the front loops of the remaining 5 stitches and tighten to close. Keep
the thread for the next step.
Before closing
Keep the red thread and pass it through the stitches of the same color in the vertical direction of the
work.
Skip the white parts to keep the colors homogeneous.
Pull on the thread as you go to make the shape of the candy cane. When you have a good shape, pass in several stitches around to secure the tension of the thread and cut it.
🎅 Assembly and finishes🎅
🎄 Ears
Count 4 stitches horizontally from the end of the upper eyelash and position the ear at eye level. Use
pins to hold it in place.
Sew the ears flat on each side, taking both edges of the ear well.
The angle of the ear achieved with the decreases should be downwards.
🧝♀️ The fur details on the dress
On the sleeves
The process is the same as for the beanie. Enter the hook here in the 1st white row at the border with
the red.
Make this fur embroidery on both rows of the white sleeve. Do it for both arms.
On the bottom of the dress
Again the same process as for the beanie or the sleeves. Enter the hook here in the 1st white row at
the border with the red.
Do this on the two white rows at the bottom of the dress.
🎅 Head details
Eyebrows
With the same thread as the hair, pass it 3 rows above the eyes on a width of 4 sc, slightly inclining it on 1 row.
Do the same for the second eyebrow.
The nose
Position yourself in the first row under the eyes and in the middle of the eyes vertically.
On a width of 2 stitches, pass the beige yarn 3 times.

🎄 Hair
Glue the middle of the base against the middle of the head.
Then, we start by gluing a first strand on the right side of the head by putting glue on about 3 cm.
Glue 4 strands on each side in front of the ears.
Use pins to dry the glue.
Then glue all the strands of the outer row leaving spaces between to then glue all the strands of the
inner row.
Let dry.
Form the loops of the strands well with your fingers by twisting them.
🧝♀️ Shoes details
Glue a snowflake on the front of each of the shoes.
🎅 The cape
Pass the cape around the shoulders and below the white collar.
With the needle, pass the green thread through the opposite end to close the cape. Pass it twice and
pull in the thread.
Glue the last snowflake on the closure made.
🎄 The cheeks
Make up the cheeks with pink blush under each eye and to a height of about 3 rows.
🧝♀️ The candy cane stick
Glue the stick to the left arm so that it is slightly tilted and touches the ground at the level of the feet.
