It’s finally September (goodbye, heat wave 🥵), so we can finally start getting ready for Halloween! Last year, because of my tendonitis, I wasn’t able to share any Halloween patterns with you, and that really frustrated me because I love this time of year… So this year, I’m going to make up for it with several patterns, starting with the first one I’m sharing with you today 🎃
We’re kicking off this series of Halloween crochet patterns with the Witch Cat Headphones Cover! This headphone cover is a follow-up to my previous Cat Headphones Cover, which I shared with you almost two years ago now. So I revisited that pattern to give it a Halloween makeover.

🐈⬛ Inspiration 🐈⬛
My initial inspiration, of course, came from my first cat headphones cover, which I shared with you two years ago. I wanted to make it again but with a new look, while still keeping that feline touch that I love so much.
I also wanted to keep a kawaii touch on this cover. The previous headphones cover had that super cute big bow between the ears; this one also has a little bow, but on the witch’s hat 🎀
I had also shared the Christmas Reindeer Headphone Cover last year to add a nice Christmas vibe to my headphones. So since I already had a Christmas cover, I needed one for Halloween, too! I love illustrations of cats wearing witch hats, so I wanted to bring that design to life with this Witch Cat Headphones Cover 🐈⬛
🎃 Technical Details on the Witch Cat Headphones Cover🎃
One of the advantages of this crochet pattern is that it’s very easy and quick to make, whether you’re a beginner or not. I’ve also provided detailed instructions for each step so you can make it as easily as possible and, most importantly, without stressing out!
This Witch Cat headphones cover doesn’t require much yarn, so you can use the balls you already have on hand without breaking the bank! Any color combination is also possible whether or not it matches the color of your headphones.
I used acrylic yarn again for this headphones cover because, in my opinion, it looks best and feels most comfortable when you wear your headphone. Acrylic yarn is more flexible and lightweight than cotton.
Another very important point: this headphones cover is very easy to put on and take off the headphone thanks to my fastening system. I didn’t want a cover that couldn’t be removed; I wanted to be able to switch up the style of my headphone cover whenever I wanted without ruining the previous one. This fastening system is super easy to attach and you can’t even feel it when you’re wearing the headphone. The fact that the Witch Cat audio headphones cover is removable also makes it easy to wash!
One last thing: the Witch Cat Headphoned Cover fits all headphone sizes! I’ve included instructions in the pattern so the cover will fit your headphones perfectly 😊

🎃 The bow
(to be done with Color B -> pink)
R1: make a magic ring.
Then, CH 1 and 2 dc in the ring. CH 2 and 1 SlSt in the ring.
CH 2, 2 dc in the ring. CH 2 and 1 SlSt in the ring.
→ Tighten the magic ring.
→ Fasten off by keeping a good length of yarn for sewing.
→ Wrap the yarn around the center 4 times and tie a double knot at the back with the remaining 2 threads.
→ Save the thread for sewing.
