I used this shape of defined edge on several of my patterns as on my magic potions, my different cupcakes, my magical birthday cake or even on the clogs my unicorn.
This technique allows to have a very “sharp” edge, to mark very frankly the fact that we pass from some flat rows to a change of direction towards the vertical.
You’ll tell me that you may already know a technique for this. Yes, but mine gives even more sharp to the edge! 😆

🌟 The different ways to make a sharp edge for your amigurumis🌟
The first technique we have all learned to crochet a edge is that of the back loops. After having made our rows flat, we pass our crochet hook in the back loops of a row by making single crochet to mark this new verticality. This technique already works well and I used it too … but that was before the new technique I will teach you!
The tip I want to share with you is not related to the back loops. Here, we will pass the crochet hook through the back structure. This will give a completely different rendering since the edge will be much more defined, clear. For the sake of clarity, I explain it all in a video below! 😊
